This incident marks the second bomb attack in June alone. Earlier in the month, on June 3rd, during the Uganda Martyrs Day celebrations, UPDF operatives engaged and killed two individuals suspected of being involved in bomb-related activities. The recurrence of such violent acts within weeks of each other raises significant concerns about security in the region.
In response to the latest attack at Kalerwe Market, security services have launched an investigation to gather further details and assess the full scope of the incident. Authorities are yet to provide updates as the investigation unfolds.
