The Kyabazinga of Busoga, His Royal Highness William Gabula Nadiope IV, graduated with a Master’s of
Advanced Studies in Global Affairs from Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut, on May 19 th .
Yale University is the third-oldest University in the United States, known for its academic
excellence, research output, diverse campus community, fostering global leaders and innovators.
The course was a merit based scholarship awarded to the King by Yale University .
This master’s degree will be his second, following his earlier attainment of a master’s degree in Business Administration from Coventry University in the United Kingdom. He is also a third-year PhD student at the University of Portsmouth pursuing a Doctorate of Business Administration .
During his graduation from Yale University, he was accompanied by his lovely wife, Jovia Mutesi, the Fiffth Inhebantu of Busoga. Photos of the couple together at the university have been circulating on social media.
“This accomplishment of the second Master’s Degree of Advanced Studies in Global Affairs at Yale University ,USA is as much yours as mine,” These sweet message was shared on the Kyabazinga of Busoga X handle.
In the message, he goes ahead to thank her for standing by him for making his educational journey possible but meaningful.

The Busoga region Is known for its high rates of high school dropouts, primarily due to financial constraints. Many students have resorted to working in sugarcane cultivation or engaging in other economic activities in the area. The degree awarded to the Kyabazinga could signify an improvement and growth in education within the Busoga region.
