Ugandan musician Dax Vibez, whose real name is Ivan Bugembe Sentamu, took to social media to announce the cancellation of his highly anticipated maiden concert. “After 9 months of advertising and all, Hotel Africana has cancelled my show. I don’t know what to do next,” he wrote, leaving fans shocked.

Dax Vibez, the younger brother of opposition leader and musician Bobi Wine (Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu), had been planning the event for August 29, 2025, at Hotel Africana in Kampala.
The decision to host the concert was first announced in February 2025, marking nine months of promotion that now appear jeopardized.
Hotel Africana, a prominent venue known for hosting major artists, has a mixed history with event cancellations, as seen with Alien Skin’s concert relocation in February 2025.
Dax Vibez now together with his management have to look for another location just two months to the maiden concert.
