Moses Magogo has been re-elected as the President of the Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) for the term 2025-2029 on Unopposed ticket.
The announcement came during the 101st FUFA Annual General Meeting (AGM) held in Hoima City on July 5, 2025.
This re-election extends his tenure, which began over a decade ago, and now he serves four more years of leading Uganda’s Football.

Magogo, a prominent figure with vibrant titles, serves not only as FUFA President but also as a Member of Parliament and is notably married to Anita Among, the Speaker of the Ugandan Parliament. His multifaceted roles have fueled both support and scrutiny within the football community.
Having first assumed the presidency four years ago, Magogo’s leadership has been marked by notable achievements, including advocating for increased funding, supporting talent development, and spearheading Uganda’s successful bid to co-host the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in 2027 alongside the Championship of African Nations (CHAN) in August 2025.
However, his tenure has not been without controversy, including a 2019 FIFA suspension due to illegal ticket sales during the 2014 World Cup, though he has since worked to rebuild his reputation.
Hon.Anita Among, the wife to Magogo has also joined fellow netizens to express congratulatory message to the husband. “I also want to extend my heartfelt congratulations to my dear husband, Hon. Eng. @MosesMagogo, for being re-elected unopposed as FUFA president”
She goes ahead and acknowledges his works with infrastructure development, supporting talent development, pushing for legislative reforms to facilitate sports administration, and leading the Cranes to AFCON.
As the balls fell on Magogo as unopposed FUFA President,Uganda’s Football reaching highest peak stands in his hands.
