On June 7, 2025, thousands gathered for final farewell of Cedric Babu Ndilima in his ancestral home in Kamengo, Mpigi District .
Prominent dignitaries, including General Muhoozi Kainerugaba and his wife, Charlotte, Gen. Kale Kyahurwa, Faridah Nambi, Capt. Mike Mukula, Hon.Thomas Tayebwa, and many others joined the family for the last Send off.
Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba, describes Cedric as a loyal and trustworthy person who could be relied upon in any circumstance.
Cedric’s multifaceted personality had a significant impact on those around him, and he was honored with heartfelt tributes.
During the one-week procession, Francis Babu says he is celebrating Cedric’s life, right from birth and how he lived.
Cedric’s health issues became public in May 2025 when he collapsed in Kigali, Rwanda, while accompanying his son to a tennis tournament.
He was airlifted to Aga Khan Hospital in Nairobi, where medical staff admitted him to intensive care.
Cedric leaves behind a wife and three sons, all of whom share his passion for sports.
His legacy will live on through the lives he touched and the memories they hold of him.
